ChainDeposit deposit fee and wait-time calculator comparing networks by cost and speed

Deposit Fee & Wait-Time Calculator

Enter your deposit amount and coin. The calculator ranks every network we've verified from cheapest to priciest, shows the fee as a share of your deposit, and tells you roughly how long each one takes to credit. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.

How the numbers are built

Each network's fee band is the wording already published on our network fees and confirmation times pages, verified 2026-06-23 against live block explorers and gas trackers (Etherscan, Tronscan, BscScan, Solscan, mempool.space, BitInfoCharts). The calculator just does the arithmetic — fee as a percentage of your specific amount, and a cheapest-first ranking — instead of leaving you to do that math by hand. We only include a network here once we have a verified figure for it; we don't invent a figure for a chain that page doesn't describe.

Fees move with network congestion

These are typical ranges, not live quotes — a busy Ethereum mempool can push ERC-20 fees above the range shown. For the current fee on a specific chain right before you send, check a live tracker: Etherscan gas tracker or mempool.space for Bitcoin.

Calculator FAQ

Where do the fee and time numbers come from?

Our network-fees page describes each chain's fee in words — “a fraction of a cent”, “low single-digit cents”, “around a dollar … to $20 or more”. The calculator turns those exact phrases into number bands using one stated rule: a fraction of a cent = $0.001–$0.01, low single-digit cents = $0.01–$0.09, a handful of cents = $0.01–$0.10, a fraction of a cent to a few cents = $0.001–$0.05, cents to a few dollars = $0.01–$3, around a dollar to $20 or more = $1–$20. Dogecoin is the one exception: that page says only that it is “similarly inexpensive” to Litecoin, so it carries Litecoin's band rather than one of its own. Confirmation times are taken straight from the table on confirmations, checked 2026-06-23. A chain appears here only if that page states its fee level — and for the exact cost of one transfer, the block explorer for that chain is the authority, not this table.

Why does the fee change with the amount I enter?

The network fee itself is roughly fixed in USD terms — it depends on the chain, not your deposit size. What changes is the fee as a percentage of your deposit: the same $1 fee is trivial on a $500 deposit but significant on a $10 deposit, so the calculator recomputes that percentage for whatever amount you enter.

Why are only 8 networks listed?

Those are the networks we have verified, sourced fee and confirmation-time data for. We deliberately leave out networks we haven't checked rather than guess — if your coin supports a network not shown here, see the full breakdown on the network-fees page.

Does the calculator send my amount or coin anywhere?

No. It runs entirely in your browser using the published rate tables — there's no server call, account or sign-in involved.

Deposit somewhere that supports the cheap networks

A calculator only helps if the operator actually credits the cheap network for your coin.
