Depositing crypto to MetaWin: networks, memo & recovery

MetaWin is built around crypto rather than bolted onto it, and that shows in two ways. None of its deposit coins use a memo or destination tag, so there is no extra field to forget. And you can fund an account two ways: copy a deposit address, or connect a Web3 wallet. The one thing that can still lose your money is the wrong chain, because several MetaWin coins live on more than one network.

Two ways to deposit, one rule that matters

MetaWin gives you two deposit paths, and the right one depends on where your crypto already sits.

The custodial address

The familiar path: pick a coin in MetaWin's wallet and it shows a deposit address to copy or scan as a QR code. You then send to it from wherever your funds live, whether an exchange, a hardware wallet or another cashier. MetaWin supports 25 or more assets this way, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, USDT, USDC and Litecoin, with the full list shown inside the wallet. The address is dedicated to that one coin and network, which is why there is no memo to add: each coin gets its own address instead of everyone sharing one, so MetaWin already knows the funds are yours.

Connecting a Web3 wallet

The second path skips the copy-paste. You connect a self-custody wallet (MetaWin lists MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect and Phantom) and send or swap from inside it. It suits anyone already holding crypto in a browser wallet. The trade-off is that a swap carries its own minimums: MetaWin documents 0.002 ETH in and a 20-dollar floor out, and below those it will not process. Whichever path you pick, the same rule decides whether the money arrives: the network has to match.

Networks: where deposits actually go wrong

Because there is no memo to worry about, the chain is the whole game. MetaWin's own help centre is specific on the two assets most likely to trip people up.

For Ethereum and ETH-based tokens, you can choose between four networks: Ethereum mainnet, Base, Arbitrum One and Optimism. MetaWin calls the three layer-2 options "faster and cheaper," and that is worth acting on. If your sending wallet or exchange also supports Base, Arbitrum or Optimism, routing through one costs a fraction of an Ethereum-mainnet send. That is a real saving rather than a marketing line; our network fees explainer shows how much an L2 undercuts mainnet. The catch is that both ends must agree. Send ETH on Arbitrum to a Base deposit address and the funds land on a chain MetaWin is not watching for that address.

For Solana, MetaWin is blunter still. SOL and the SPL versions of USDT and USDC are credited on Solana mainnet only. The help centre spells out the trap: do not send wrapped SOL, or SPL tokens, from Ethereum or BSC. Those are different chains wearing a familiar coin name, and a transfer from the wrong one never reaches MetaWin's Solana address.

MetaWin has not published a full per-coin network table for Bitcoin, Litecoin and the rest, so we will not print one we cannot stand behind; those routes are still being verified. The reliable move is the same every time. Generate the deposit address for the exact coin, read the network it names on that screen, and match it at the sending end. Minimums and confirmations

MetaWin publishes a 0.05 minimum for SOL deposits, plus the Web3 swap floors above. Other per-coin minimums appear inside the wallet when you generate an address, and we are verifying those rather than guessing. There is no maximum deposit. On timing, MetaWin says some networks need multiple confirmations before a balance updates and that the wait varies by chain, but it does not publish a per-coin count. A worked example: the Solana trap

Say you hold USDT on an exchange. In MetaWin's wallet you pick USDT and the address screen shows a Solana address. You copy it, switch to your exchange, and there you choose the network. The right choice is Solana, so the SPL token lands where MetaWin is watching. The wrong choice is BSC: your exchange happily lets you send "USDT" on BEP-20, the transaction confirms, and the coins arrive on Binance Smart Chain. MetaWin's Solana address never sees them, because that address only exists on Solana. The send is technically successful and the funds are still lost. The only safeguard is reading the network on the address screen and selecting the identical one before you confirm.

If a deposit doesn't credit

MetaWin handles missing deposits case by case and does not guarantee recovery. Its help centre states plainly that sending the wrong cryptocurrency may result in the loss of funds, and there is no published recovery fee. That makes the order of checks important. First, find the transaction hash, the TXID, from your sending wallet, paste it into the relevant block explorer, and confirm which address the coins reached and on which chain. If the explorer shows them confirmed to the address MetaWin gave you, on the network it named, that is a support question: open MetaWin live chat with the TXID and let them trace it.

If the coins landed on a different chain, the honest outlook is that recovering a misrouted deposit is rare and never promised. One firm rule: nobody in a chat, forum or DM can reverse a confirmed blockchain transfer, so anyone offering paid recovery is running a scam.
